“Obviously, I am extremely shocked and disappointed by the
recent developments involving Jared.” Katie Fogle said in a statement regarding
allegations & arrest of her husband Jared Fogle.
REALLY?!
Shocked and disappointed?! If
this was my husband, I certainly wouldn’t choose those words – shocked,
disappointed. Fill in the blank, “I am
_____” Nauseated, infuriated, betrayed, disgusted, violated, and ashamed ~ just a
few words I would have used. But NOT
“disappointed”.
It sounds so blasé. Like ..
- was “disappointed” in the ending of the novel I was reading.
- I was “disappointed” in my child’s report card.
- I was “disappointed” that I didn’t get a raise or promotion.
What is quite obvious to me is that Jared Fogle is a
pervert, sex offender, disgusting piece of sh*$ and doesn’t deserve a “plea
deal”. He belongs in prison with other pedophiles
for the rest of his natural life. Am I
the only one who is sickened and filled with such hate for Jared??
When I heard that Jared Fogle, the former spokesman for Subway,
was charged with pornography and soliciting minors for sex, I felt
enraged. Enraged, not only for the
victims, but for the general public. We had
been taken for a ride. We had been lied
to. We had been made to believe that
with determination and hard work, anything is possible. Jared had transformed himself, inside &
out, and miraculously lost incredible amount of weight. He was “on-top of the world” making millions
of dollars promoting awareness about childhood obesity. He worked on “helping” children while at the
same time “molesting” children.
My “rose-colored glasses” were broken once again. The ugliness of the world in which we live raised
its monstrous head. “The Beast” was
laughing. Another child with an ugly
secret. Another child feeling lost and
broken. Another child whose innocence
was taken from them if for no other reason than for the selfish pleasure of an
adult. Another child with tears
screaming “I am, I cried”. When does the
madness end?!
The time is NOW for all victims of sexual abuse and
exploitation to be heard. The children,
our future, can NOT wait another minute.
Evil lurks among us and must be brought to justice. No more plea deals. No more inadequate sentencing of the
convicted. No more looking the other
way. No more sweeping it under the
rug. No more being silent and keeping A
SECRET.
